Abstract: The system based on the Internet of Things thought will be the direction of the future smart home. The paper designed a unified household appliances controller which is the core of the smart home system. It adopts RTL8019AS Ethernet controller to realize embedded Internet by which users can have access to remote control. And it uses maturing wireless Bluetooth technology to complete the communication between the controller and the sub-controlling system. S3C2410 is the embedded processor and μC/OS-II is the embedded OS. The entire controller is simple and efficient because of its all mature components.

Abstract: With the continuous development of 3G networks, Femto has gotten more and more attention and development, as a kind of access technology in cellular base station,it improves indoor coverage、cell capacity and relieve network pressure of outdoor macro base station. But how to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted in communication network is a problem which we currently facing. This paper will solve this problem using HA (High Availability) technology, when the computer system or network hardware or software fail, it can switch to the backup system by the switch-over technology to achieve uninterrupted service and maintenance system availability.

Abstract: Network control systems (NCSs) where the problems of data packet dropout induced by communication channel is studied in this paper. We model the data packet dropout a Markov Jump Linear systems and introduce a freedom matrix. Our goal is to find a controller such that the Markov Jump Linear systems mean square stable. According to linear matrix inequalities (LMI), we can get the sufficient condition on the mean square stabilization of NCSs. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abstract: This paper studied how to build the intelligent autonomous vehicle in driving simulation system and let it distinguish the traffic road in virtual traffic environment based on Eon Studio. The method of using the database to store the information of virtual traffic roads was proposed. The result illustrated that by this means the intelligent autonomous vehicle could distinguish the complex traffic network accurately in the virtual traffic environment, which enhanced responsivity and stability of the driving simulation system and created a more realistic driving environment for users.

Abstract: This paper presents Embedded Inertial Navigation System designed and manufactured by the Department of Automatic Control and Robotics in Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland. Designed system is currently one of the smallest in the world. Within it there is implemented INS-GPS loosely coupled data fusion algorithm and point-to-point navigation algorithm. Both the algorithms and the constructed hardware were tested using two unmanned ground vehicles varying in size. Acquired results of those successful tests are presented.

Abstract: This paper introduced a new technology to design an embedded tool inquiry system with RFID and Wi-Fi. It can realize instant tool inquiries and modification through IIS Server and RDA to operate the database. With such method, it can easily manage tool information timely and realize the automatic management of tools. Meanwhile it also can realize fast and convenient inventory of tool store and information management.

Abstract: Due to MFCC characteristic parameter in speech recognition has low identification accuracy when signal is intermediate, high frequency signal, this paper put forward a improved algorithm of combining MFCC, Mid-MFCC and IMFCC, using increase or decrease component method to calculate the contribution that MFCC, Mid-MFCC and IMFCC each order cepstrum component was used in speech emotion recognition, extracting several order cepstrum component with highest contribution from three characteristic parameters and forming a new characteristic parameter. The experiment results show that under the same environment new characteristic parameter has higher recognition rate than classic MFCC characteristic parameter in speech emotion recognition.

Abstract: This paper proposes an approach that uses serial communication based on the Windows system to collect the manufacturing data through multi-thread mechanism. The data collection system adopts two levels control architecture. The down streaming level is based on several data collection terminals that use ARM chips as central processing units (CPU). The upper level is consisted of personal computers which are connected to the communication network through RS-422, aiming to transfer the data on one side. On the other side, these computers interact with data server, aiming to transmit the data to the processing center. SQL Server 2000 has been utilized as the data manager within this system which uses multi-thread technology to continuously enquiry the data collection terminals (DCTs). After the practical implementation, this system is qualified in the manufacturing environment with high reliability, real-time feature as well as quick responses to the users when they operating the DCTs.

Abstract: Environmental noise control is a compulsory special course for students of Environmental Engineering. Through leaning this course, the students should know basic knowledge of noise, noise control technologies and how to test and control environmental noise. With increasing importance attached on environment, requirement of noise control is more stringent than ever before. In order to maintain the competitiveness of undergraduates, it is necessary to give the course in bilingual language, especially those who study in Environmental Engineering. This paper first analyzes the characteristics and probes the problems of this course. Then it proposes a developing plan for the course from the following aspects: necessity of learning this course, course aims, course content, related courses and teaching methods.

Abstract: Functional joint instability is common after joint soft tissue injuries. We present in this report our pilot finding in a study of functional ankle instability. Although past studies have suggested multiple pathological factors for functional ankle instability, none of those factors has been confirmed in the past studies. More importantly, no known factor can provide an explanation for an ankle giving way phenomenon which is a key element in defining a functional ankle instability. In this pilot study, we tested five subjects with functional ankle instability using a dynamic ankle stretching device combined with nociceptive electrical stimulation. Three out of five subjects showed a drastic reaction in which they totally gave up their control of upright standing after their affected ankles were under the combined ankle stretch and nociceptive stimuli. Such drastic reaction was not observed in the same ankles under only the ankle stretch. There was no such drastic reaction in the unaffected ankle under either testing condition. This pilot finding indicates a possibility of a hyper-reactivity to unloading reaction in the ankles with functional ankle instability
