Abstract: Diaphragm chamber is the key component in fluid end of high pressure diaphragm pump for long distance pipeline transportation. Structural dimensions are the major factors affecting mechanical strength and manufacturing cost of diaphragm chamber. In this paper, diaphragm chamber was simulated by finite element analysis software ANSYS. Mechanical strength of diaphragm chamber was checked in the light of ASMEVIII-2. The structure of diaphragm chamber was modified for the purpose of extending service life and reducing production costs. The analysis results provide some theoretical guidance for research and development of diaphragm chambers and relevant products.

Abstract: Cam mechanism is the most important equipment of the automotive panel die for flanging, lateral punching processes etc. The product is required to higher precision, so the various components of cam mechanism are required to higher safety and usability. The paper focuses on the structure of cam mechanism that can be simulated by finite element simulation program on working conditions. It analyses the variation of deformation, stress and strain for cam mechanism.

Abstract: Through the establishment of contact element simulated the contact between sucker rod and oil pipe. The deformation of sucker rods in oil pipe that caused by the screw pump rotor eccentricity has been researched by the application of transient dynamics analysis. Results show that screw pump rotor eccentricity is one of the reasons which cause rod and oil pipe contact resulting in partial abrasion. Deformation of the sucker rods caused by the rotor eccentricity is mainly concentrated on the bottom of rods, so in order to mitigate partial abrasion, rod centralizer arrangement at the bottom of rods should be strengthened, or change the connection mode between the sucker rod and screw pump rotor to eliminate the effect of the sucker rod deformation caused by rotor eccentric motion.

Abstract: G70 Tank car uesd for transportation on liquidsliquids of gas and bulck goods in form of powder,is one of the major class of Chinese railroad freight cars. And the tank car makes about 18% of the toatal amount of freight cars. In this stduy, the carbdoy finite element model of tank car was constructed, and calculated stress of carbody both empty car and fully loaded car, then get the results of key postsitions. According to the AAR load spectrums on the part of the tank car, translated the results into dynamic stress through the quasi-static method. Calculated the damage of carbody with the fatigue analysis method provied in AAR, compared the fatigue life under various comonent.

Abstract: This paper used the finite element method to compare the mechanical properties of two different configuration counterweight booms of the bucket wheel stacker reclaimer. And two different forms of the finite element analysis model of the counterweight booms were built in ANSYS. The stresses and strains under its working state were calculated. Then the impact of the counterweight arm to the force and stability of the whole rack could be analyzed. The results of this analysis provided a basis to select different types of the counterweight booms in different environment, and it has an important guidance and reference significance to the design and analysis of counterweight booms of large-scale machinery.

Abstract: Acoustic emission signals were collected during the tensile process of Q345R at the normal and low temperatures. The signals were analyzed by the single parameter analysis, distribution analysis and correlation analysis to result the acoustic emission characteristics of Q345R in the normal and low temperatures.

Abstract: For lot of structures, especially turbine blades, damper can dissipate the vibration energy by friction. Investigating the property of metal dry friction damping can give many usable data for response analysis of damping blade which is important in damped blade designs. The paper constructs an experimental rig and carries out experiment with pieces having radius of curvature 6mm, 12mm and 24mm. The relative displacement between contact surfaces and the friction force changed with time were obtained for different initial pressure and frequency of exciting force. Hysteresis curves of dry friction damper were derived. The variations of friction coefficient of stick-slip area, equivalent stiffness and equivalent damping were calculated based on experimental data.

Abstract: Large heavy-duty CNC machine tools commonly used rolling bearing as Main bearing. This paper analyses the causes of Main bearing fever deeply, pointing out the mechanism of the bearing heating; combined with the practical application of the TK6926 landing CNC milling and borings main bearing, putting forward the main method to reduce the rolling bearing fever and achieved good results.

Abstract: Ensuring energy-efficient operation of a hydraulic cylinder is determined also by minimizing the friction forces caused by mobile sealing systems. The nature of friction in a sealing system on one hand, and the systems sealing ability, on the other, are determined by the thickness of the fluid film built up at the contact between seal and sealed surface. The paper presents an evaluation of the hydrodynamic pressures that causes the occurrence of a fluid-filled gap between the elements of a coaxial sealing system, as well as the influence of various parameters on its size.

Abstract: To improve gas turbine performance, it is essential to decrease back flow gases in the high-temperature combustion region of the turbo machine by reducing the shroud/rotor gap. An abradable seal coating will function effectively. The present work described an advanced detection technology and test rigs to study abradability of the seal coatings. Several early used analytical methods were also reviewed in the work as comparison, like NASAPWA and Sulzer Innotec, have developed abradable test rigs and specified different experimental parameters by simulating the determined working conditions. Thence, suggestions to further develop evaluation methods for seal coatings were proposed and discussed.
