Abstract: New packings based on Silochrome C80 modified with Cu (II), Co (II) and Ni (II) 8-oxyquinolinates were studied. Their sorption characteristics and chromatographic properties were investigated and the comparative evaluation of sorbents polarity was carried out by applying Rohrschneider-McReynolds coefficients system, thermodynamic data and using the solvation parameter model of Abraham. It was found that the nature of metal and complex structure have a decisive influence on the physico-chemical properties of the packings. Modified silica gels show high selectivity for gas chromatographic separation of oxygen containing and aromatic organic compounds.

Abstract: The sorbent with the grafted layers of malonate copper was obtained on the surface of silica gel Silokhrom S-120 by the method of successive assemblies. Structural, sorption and chromatographic properties of the investigated materials were studied by adsorption of porosimetry, gas chromatography, pH-measurement and Hammett’s method. The sorbent was used for solid phase extraction of organic compounds from aqueous solutions.

Abstract: Tiron has been proposed for the removal of Fe (III) and Mg (II) ions from the test solution by ion exchange in the REE trace analysis in rocks by ICP-MS. The conditions for Fe (III) isolation on a column with anion-exchange resin АВ-17-8,Cl– and for Mg (II) on a column with cation-exchange resin Purolite С100 have been found. The concentration of Fe (III) is reduced up to 10 times, and Mg (II) – more than 100 times. Correction factors have been used in order to eliminate the systematic error in the determination of REE due to their partial sorption on the anion-exchange resin in the form of complexes with Tiron. The correctness and accuracy of the developed sample preparation method and of the correction factors have been confirmed in the analysis of standard samples base on natural geochemical objects.

Abstract: The way of the graphite electrodes production, modified by polymeric composition, containing nanoparticles of gold or mercury, for determination of metals’ ions by the method of stripping voltammetry is offered. The influence of copolymer’s structure, nature of solvent, concentration of metal-modifier, viscosity of composition, film’s thickness and conditions of its formation on electrochemical and mechanical characteristics of sensor systems was studied. The approbation of electrodes was carried out using the certified techniques with help of the method of stripping voltammetry during determination of zinc, cadmium, lead, copper, mercury, arsenic, selenium.

Abstract: Acid-base properties and selectivity of absorption such ions as REE (Eu3+, Gd3+, Nd3+, Yb3+) from solutions with various ionic force by the fibrous ampholytes PAN-FOSPAN and PAN-IDUC are investigated. PAN-FOSPAN shows the greatest selectivity to ions of REE. This fact can be used for division and the subsequent definition of ions. PAN-IDUC as a high selective fibrous sorbent after alkaline treatment is perspective one for absorption of the REE sum.
