Abstract: This study presents measurement and calculations of crystallization of PPS composite with 40 % of glass fibers on real molded part using differential scanning calorimeter and also FEM simulation of impact of injection mold temperature on the crystallization of same part. Analyzed part had circular shape and samples for testing were taken from 4 different locations marked “3, 6, 9, 12” depending on their position (marked like as at clock face), while location 3 was nearest to the mold intake.

Abstract: Fiber reinforced polymer composites are common materials used to produce parts for structural applications. The attractiveness of these materials is a result of the combined advantages of the fiber reinforcing effect and the high production rates achievable by technologies such as injection molding. The fiber orientation in short fiber reinforced thermoplastics depends on injection moulding technology parameters. The aim of this paper is to propose possibilities for comparing fiber orientation of the real sample and the result from simulation software.

Abstract: The presented article deals about hybrid composite materials based on natural fibers and their mechanical testing. It contains test process of composite materials, which contain staple fibers and whole fibers of hemp, cotton, sisal and jute combined with carbon fabric. The objective of the thesis is to confirm or decline the ability of hybrid bio-composites usage in automotive industry following the testing results. Experimental part contains the methods of bio-composites test samples manufacturing and the testing, particularly tensile strength testing and impact test at a bending. The results of this part are statistically evaluated.
