The water content changes very much.
The main reaction is as follows : 2Fe2O3 + C → 4FeO + CO2↑ (1) 3Fe2O3 + CO → 2Fe3O4 + CO2↑ (2) Fe3O4 + C →3FeO + CO↑ (3) The loss on ignition of illite shales chemical composition analysis mainly intricates the mass fraction of carbon or organic matter (including water, etc.).
For instance, its advantages include smaller water absorption, higher mechanical strength, Mohs hardness and so on.

The workmanship is an issue, as more water is added to the concrete to make it easier to work with while the amount of cement and rebar is reduced to save costs.
Higher loads and a higher water/cement ration can become disastrous under additional horizontal impact loads from a tsunami.
Utilities are another policy issue, there are very limited underground utilities except for water lines and often open sewers, electricity, telephone and cable TV as well as internet are run overhead often on wood or concrete polls.

The systematization and disclosure of information about the treatment techniques of rising damp, in the form of files / catalogue allows professionals, technicians and students instant access to the most relevant information on this matter.
The treatment techniques of rising damp usually used are based on four principles of intervention: Stop the access of water to the walls; Remove the excess of water in the walls; Stop the ascension of water in the walls and Concealing anomalies.
Stop the access of water to the walls - In order to stop the access of water to the walls, peripheral drainage may be a possibility.
Ventilating the Wall base - Creating ventilated peripheral channels, in addition to diminishing water contact with porous walls, increases the evaporation of absorbed water.
The files of the treatment techniques of rising damp are grouped according to their intervention principle: prevent access of water to the walls, remove the excess water in the walls, stop the ascension of water in the walls and concealing anomalies.
