This incident was initiated by a 2-m shallow surface failure (EL. 563 to EL. 561.7) on 30 September.
On 5 October, a much deeper slope failure occurred with slip surface located from EL. 578 to EL. 561.7.
The last event, took place on 13 October, was the most destructive collapse, comprising a 22-m deep seated failure (EL. 584 to EL. 561.7).
Ferreira et al. [9] described the use of colluvial and residual soils for building core in Manso Dam, Brazil.
For instance, Hakim et al. [27] presented a series of ILSDS tests on random fill materials in Keureuto Dam.

Introduction
A number of analytical and experimental investigations of pultruded GRP WF profile columns have
been reported during the past decade by, for example, Yoon et al. [1], Tomblin and Barbero [2],
Brown et al. [3], Pecce et al. [4] and others.
The average elastic longitudinal, transverse and in-plane shear moduli and Poisson's ratio values used in the FE analyses were: EL = 23.8 GPa, ET = 8.9 GPa, GLT = 3.4 GPa and νLT = 0.3.
The value of EL was deduced from the load - longitudinal strain data recorded during the column tests, whereas the values of ET, GLT and νLT were derived from tests on coupons cut out of the web and flanges of the profile.
Experimental and Numerical Results The measured dimensions, collapse loads and longitudinal Young's moduli EL of the columns are given in Table 1.
The average value of EL from coupon tests [8] is 22.2 GPa and the manufacturer's [9] minimum value is 17.2 GPa. 0 50 100 150 200 250 300 -2 0 2 4 6 8 10 End shortening s (mm) Load F (kN) CLM200 CLM430 CLM600 CLM800 Fig. 2 Compression load versus end shortening response for each column Fig. 2 shows the test results of compression load versus end shortening for each column.

Oyarzo-vera et al present seismic zonation for the selection of ground motion records for time history analysis of buildings in the North Island of New Zealand [12].
The earthquakes selected were; El Centro 1940-Imperial valley (USA), Hokkaido 2003 (Japan), Christchurch February 22, 2011, as given by the Resthaven station (New Zealand).
The two first ground motion records have been suggested by Oyarzo-vera et al [12]for site class D in the North Island.

About 20,000 ships pass through the Strait of Bab al-Mandab each year and an estimated 25,000 to 30,000 ships transit the Red Sea annually.
The officially recorded numbers of ship/boat groundings, from 1987 and up till July 2008 in the Egyptian Red Sea Region in the neighborhoods of the most famous major resort cities as dhahab, hurghada, nuweiba, marsa alam, ras sidr, safaga and sharm el-shikh, is 149 incidents [8,13].
