The key condition for effective concurrent engineering and cross-enterprise engineering is integrated computer environment for design and manufacturing: a common platform for computer-aided systems for product development [2].

In this paper, the synthesis of four-layered functionally graded materials (FGMs) samples of (TiC)pNi/TiAl with titanium substrate by field-activated and pressure-assisted synthesis process (FAPAS) was investigated.
Experimental Materials The starting materials used in this research include powders of Al (99.5% purity, 45 µm in average size), Ti (99.99% purity, 10µm in average size), graphite (99.9% purity, 60 nm in average size) and Ni (99.9% purity, 45 µm in average size).

The landslide has been in good condition since this controlling engineering was completed several years ago.
However, due to the complexity of geotechnical engineering, it is still necessary to carry out further research on these problems.
Similar materials According to certain similarity ratios and physical and mechanical parameters of rock-layers, the similar materials are made through appropriate mixture ratio of barite powder, iron powder, sand, and water, and the physical and mechanical parameters of similar materials for relevant rock-layers can be obtained.
Comparing theoretical value with test one, we can find that the selected similar materials basically meet the requirements of similar design intent, which provides assurance for the reliability of final research results.
Conclusions With stable condition and desired repeatability, 6 types of similar materials have approximate theoretical and actual values for key physic-mechanical parameters, which is beneficial to the simulation of key lithologic characters and geological structure of sliding mass under consideration.
