Unlike other civil engineering structures anchored to the foundations or soil, the dry storage casks are usually freestanding on a concrete pad.
Thus, the influence of normal stress on the friction coefficient was significant differed from other engineering cases.

Abstract: Nowadays, there are a large number of mining tailings in China, ore tailings not only pollute the environment, but also consume plenty of land resources, even threat the safety of people's life.In this article ,researches have been done to gradation of grain of tailings in QinHuangdao by the test, and compressive strength and loss on ignition with different volume of tailing concrete.
At present, although China has taken advantage of the larger diameter of iron ore to batch commodity concrete , pave the way, replace clay and iron ore and produce cement clinker, etc, such as Shougang 2 million tons production line relocation project decided to adopt with the tailings sand concrete developed by the Beijing institute of civil engineering and construction and Shougang mining company, but the comprehensive utilization of tailings waste is only about 7%, regardless of the scale, the use value and economic benefits are far from being fully realized.
