Abstract: Based on influencing factors of the diagonal crack widths of high-strength reinforced concrete beam, the paper presents a model for predict the diagonal crack width of high-strength reinforced concrete beam by artificial neural network.
Subsequently, artificial neural network is developed by many researchers at home and abroad for over 30 years and has been applied to a lot of fields. The artificial neural networks has also been applied to the civil engineering domain in recent years, like forecast of properties of roadbed material [1], concrete mix design [2], the performance study of reinforced concrete members [3],and so on.

Therefore, if there is not a probability method for fatigue cumulative damage of concrete to be described, can not really characterize the failure mechanism of concrete and the inherent discrete nature, and thus it is difficult to establish an effective way to contribute effectively to the use of engineering design.
