Editor's Preface The International Forum on Advanced Material Science and Technology (IFAMST) takes place every two years from 1998 around the world.
The previous six forums were successfully held in London, Tokyo, Anshan in China, Troyes in France, Zhangjiajie in China and Hong Kong.
The 7th International Forum on Advanced Material Science and Technology (IFAMST-7) held in Dalian, China, on June 26th through 28 th, 2010 provided an excellent platform for scientists and engineers of different countries working in various fields together to exchange the latest development and bring the world-wide cooperation concerned with advanced material science and technology.
We believe that this book provides a valuable reference for researchers in the field of advanced materials science and technology.

PREFACE CIMTEC 2006-11th INTERNATIONAL CERAMICS CONGRESS & 4th FORUM ON NEW MATERIALS was held in Acireale, Sicily, Italy on June 4-9, 2006.
CIMTEC 2006 consisted of two major, closely intertwined events: the 11 th INTERNATIONAL CERAMICS CONGRESS and the 4th FORUM ON NEW MATERIALS.
The 4 th FORUM ON NEW MATERIALS consisted of five parallel International Conferences ("Mass and Charge Transport in Inorganic Materials"; "Science and Engineering of Novel Superconductors"; "Diamond and New Carbon Materials"; "Materials in Clinical Applications" and "Advanced Inorganic Fibrous Composites for Structural Applications") and of two Special Symposia ("Spin Injection and Transport in Magnetoelectronics" and "Biomedical Applications of Nano Technologies").
Invited and contributed papers presented at the FORUM ON NEW MATERIALS have been collected in seven volumes.
