However, the release of the bound chloride is influenced by many factors which do harm to the durability such as chemical erosion and stray current, as the bounds usually are not firm, thus leading to more free chloride ions dissolved in the pore solution and participating in the corrosion process [1-2].
Chloride binding ability is affected by many factors like content of chloride ions, water-to-binder ratio and curing conditions.
It is well known that the critical factor affecting the performance and durability of a concrete structure is the pore size distribution.
Due to this variation in pore size, there is much variation in micro-structural properties, mechanical properties and corrosion behavior studies.

The S-N curves showed duplex S-N properties because of the transition of fracture origin from the specimen surface in the short life region to the subsurface in the long life one.
However, the fatigue strength, which is the most important property for structural steels, is very low in comparison with the higher static strength similar to other high strength steels.
The mechanical properties of aged specimen were 0.2% proof stress: 2065 MPa, tensile strength: 2151MPa and reduction of area: 47%.
On the other hand, residual stress affects the crack propagation, and the nearer to the specimen surface the compressive residual stress, the larger the suppression effect on the propagation of a surface crack [4].
This means that mechanical severity and resistance of material near the origin of fracture are important.

So stability problem of steep- high slopes has become a key technical problem in hydropower projects, affecting and restricting the development of hydropower resources and engineering construction [1].
Numerical analysis such as finite element method, distinct element method and DDA can simulate the influence of various factors in detail.
According to the above principles and calculation formulas, safety factors corresponding to cracks of different depths under earthquake are calculated.
Yes No No No No Results show that rock block is not overthrown by moment under 0.05g level earthquake effect in section 1-1 and 3-3 when safety factors are higher.

In SiC whisker reinforced Al matrix composite, the interface reaction significantly influences the property of the composite.
Recently, silicon carbide whiskers have attracted much more attention due to the unique combination of their excellent properties, such as high strength, high elastic modulus, low thermal expansion coefficient, low density, high oxidation resistance and chemical inertness, causing significant improvements in mechanical performance of the composites [1-3].
Compared to unreinforced aluminum alloys, silicon carbide whisker reinforced aluminum (SiCw/Al) composite satisfies the demands in strength, modulus, fatigue resistance, tribological properties and has been considered as a great potential in structural materials, aerospace and electronic industries [4,5].
Therefore, it is very substantial to understand the structure and behavior of reinforcement/matrix interface since it strongly influences the physical and mechanical properties of the composites.
There are several factors affecting the interfacial microstructure, including matrix chemistry, whisker surface chemistry, whisker morphology and thermal expansion mismatches between whisker and matrix.

The aim of the present study was to establish whether the production procedure of different polymeric and composite membranes affects their physicochemical properties.
Composite biomaterial synthesis with PLA and biocompatible and bioconnective ceramics, calcium hydroxyapatite (HAp), enabled designing of many properties of this biomaterial, foremost of the porosity and mechanical properties [11, 12].
Tensile strength measured at room temperature [19] is most frequently used as a measure of mechanical properties.
It is known that the polymer mechanical properties increase with increasing polymer molecular weight for a constant value of porosity.
Surface characteristics of hard polymers significantly influence their adhesive properties, wettability, permeability, corrosive properties and biocompatibility [23].
