Synthesis of fluorinated silica nanoparticles and the wetting prevention ability Fan Yang1, a, Dongyan Tang1, b,* and Yudi Guo1, c 1Department of Chemistry, School of Science, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin150001, China ayangfan10607401@126.com, bcorresponding author,dytang@hit.edu.cn, cguoydhappy@126.com Keywords: Silica nanoparticles, Fluorinated, Liquid marble, Wetting prevention.
Introduction Silica nanoparticles and modified silica nanoparticles have gained much attention for a wide variety of applications, such as liquid marble, nano-structure catalysts, gas sensors/adsorption, piezoelectric devices, separation, biomedical and pharmaceutical materials[1-3].
Initially, the height of the water marble decreased slowly, because of the evaporation of water; after 35 minutes, the buckling of the marble occurred; and during the time increased to 70 minutes, water evaporated completely from the structure and thus the marble finally collapsed.

The question - whether the formation of novel mesophases is induced by various molecular structures created by incorporating multinuclear centers, or/and whether the possible physical properties are originated from the interaction between metal centers remains to be investigated and answered.
The structure of the copper complexes all have total two 1a or five alkoxy sidechains 1b appended around the central core.

When NaOH concentration is 5 mol/L, the resultant Cu2O is cubic structure with particle size 4~6μm(Fig. 9).
When NaOH concentration is 7 mol/L, Cu2O prepared is octahedral structure with particle size 6-10μm(Fig. 10).

Having a stable and dense spinel structure, chromites are hardly dissolve in sulfuric acid solution under atmospheric conditions, which is the major limitation for the application of sulfuric acid leaching process in chrome salt industry[5].
The diffraction peak of chromohercynite disappears when the leaching temperature is 160˚C, which indicates that the spinel structure of chromite is destroyed completely, and the atmospheric leaching of chromite can be realized.

Synthesis, Photochromic Properties of an Unsymmetrical Diarylethene Bearing Fluorene Ring Haichang Ding, Hongyan Xu and Gang Liu* Jiangxi Key Laboratory of Organic Chemistry, Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University, Nanchang 330013, P.
Fluorene has attracted people’s attention, compounds having a rigid planar biphenyl structure, owing to these compounds bearing wide energy gap and high luminous efficiency.
The structure of compound diarylethene 1o was characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3, TMS): d (ppm): 0.56-0.69 (m, 10H), 1.06-1.12 (m, 4H), 1.95 (s, 3H), 1.97-2.01 (m, 4H), 2.10 (s, 3H), 7.29 (s, 1H), 7.31 (s, 1H), 7.34 (d, 2H, J = 4.0 Hz), 7.44 (s, 1H), 7.51 (d, 2H, J = 8.0 Hz), 7.69 (t, 2H, J = 4Hz), 7.80 (s, 1H), 9.87 (s, 1H).

Experimental Powders, such as Sm2O3, Gd2O3, Dy2O3, Er2O3, and Yb2O3, ZrO2 of the required chemistries were pre-heated at 800 o C for 15 h to remove the water.
On the basis of a former paper, [7] Sm2Zr2O7 have the complex pyrochlore (P) structure.
Dy2Zr2O7, Er2Zr2O7, and Yb2Zr2O7 are fluorite (F) structures.Gd2Zr2O7 has two phases (P+F) but the point of the phase transformation is 1575 o C. [8] The average thermal conductivity versus atomic number calculated is plotted in Fig. 2.
