Raw materials were mixed into the mortar grinding, after weighing, fit it into the crucible.
With containing a small amount of phase of FeSi2 in raw materials, phase of FeSi2 diffraction peak enhanced after the reaction, and after the reaction there is some phase of FeSi, which is indicating that the silicon in the raw materials did not react with B2O3, only the phase transition occurred after melt.

Experimental 2.1 Materials and the preparation process The filler used in this study was Kevlar pulp (Type 1F538, density, 1.41 g/mm3, diameter, 14 um, average length, 1.7 mm, manufactured by DuPont Inc., Brownslane, KY, USA).
The applied load was mainly borne by Kevlar fiber and the wear resistance of the materials has been greatly improved by incorporating Kevlar pulp. 4.
Conclusion The incorporation of Kevlar pulp into PEI can increase the tensile properties of the composite but either increase or decrease friction and wear properties of the materials, depending on the volume fraction of Kevlar.
