Abstract.
In this paper, using the finite element, the foundation pit excavation is simulated with engineering piles and without engineering piles.
Fig. 2 Foundation pit base heave curves When engineering piles exists, the uplift of the soil is greatly reduced to the half of the mount without the engineering piles.
Therefore, engineering pile design personnel should consider the pulling forces on the piles in foundation pit excavation to make sure the safety of the engineering piles.

In this paper, the Lijiazhai high slope on Shi-Ji highway is taken as engineering prototype.
Engineering background Shi-Ji highway, which is about 190 km long, starts from Shicheng and ends at Ji’an, Jiangxi Province.
According to "Code for highway engineering geological investigation" (JTG C20-2011), slopes composed by class IV and V surrounding rock, belongs to fractured or cracked-like loose structure, and may occur local collapse, peeling or sliding destruction [6].

Abstract: In conventional turbofan aero-engine designs, the effective way of improvement of engine efficiency is through the increasing of overall pressure ratio and improving of combustor inlet gas temperature, but the further incresement of compressor overall pressor ratio is constricted by high pressure compressor outlet allowed temperature.
It indicated that the intercooled aero-engines can decrese the feul consume clearly and have a further potential in future civil aircraft application.
