Finally,simulation is carried out with an real aircraft fuel tank, comparison between simulation results and test data shows that relative error of pretreated fuel tank volume model is less than 1%, which satisfies engineering requirements.
Civil and transport aircraft usually adopt integral structure fuel tank and take wings as the main fuel storage space.
For engineering applications, a common practice is to generate database consist of fuel level -fuel surface angle - fuel volume - fuel quality property parameters and then store it in the onboard fuel management computer.
When the remaining fuel mass was greater than 40% of full-tank fuel volume, the relative error was less than 1%, which satisfied engineering requirements.
