Change of surface structure of Zn-Al LDH films treated with organic solutions was also investigated.
The basal spacing of Zn-Al LDH d003 is basically increased after the immersion in solution with organic salts (c) and (d), indicating that Zn-Al LDHs with various organic anions were formed on the film.
From the basal spacing, Zn-Al LDHs with benzoate and terephthalate were apparently formed.
Zn-Al LDH intercalated with carbonate anions or organic anions must be formed by dissolution and re-precipitation process
