Reinforcement corrosion is one important factor affecting the durability and safety of reinforced concrete structures.
The carbonation process and the factors affecting concrete carbonation are discussed according to test results.
Carbonation would change the internal composition and orginization of concrete and then affect the mechanical properties and durability of concrete structures.
Relevant properties of the cement were given in table 1 and table 2
The main factor affecting the carbonation depth of mineral admixture introduced concrete is W/C ratio.

The effects of Y and Nd on microstructure and mechanical properties of AJ62 alloy were investigated.
Rare earths have important affects to magnesium alloys, which can refine dendrite and improve casting capability and elevated temperature properties [6].
In this study, the effects of Y and Nd elements on microstructures and mechanical properties of Mg-Al-Sr alloys were investigated.
The increment of the deformation resistance means the increase of strength, hardness and other mechanical properties of alloys.
Thus, the alloys still have good mechanical properties at elevated temperature.

According to the characteristics that liquid viscosity is mainly determined by the liquid temperature and the property that mechanical friction can improve the liquid temperature, the effects of slurry temperature, working pressure and polishing speed on the heterogeneity of polishing rate were investigated.
Liquid viscosity is mainly decided by the temperature, but the increase of polishing pressure and polishing speed can aggravate the friction effect between the wafer and polishing pad, friction energy can be further converted to internal energy resulting in the increase of slurry temperature, thus affecting the slurry viscosity.
The response surface analysis results of the corresponding factors are shown in Fig.6, 7, 8.

The effects of reinforced alumina particulates on some properties of ferroelectric barium titanate ceramics were investigated.
Improvement of the mechanical properties of the ferroelectric ceramics is thus strongly required.
The effect of the Al2O3 particle size on the phase composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of the BaTiO3 ceramics is investigated and discussed.
Furthermore, this study also found that only a certain amount of Al2O3 reinforcements could significantly improve these mechanical properties in the composite/nanocomposite BaTiO3/Al2O3 systems

However, it is well known that microstructure and mechanical properties in different regions of weld joint are highly inhomogeneous.
Consequently, the global mechanical properties is strongly affected by the local mechanical properties for a welded joint.
The aim of this paper is to determine the local mechanical properties of base metal, weld metal and HAZ of the A7N01 aluminium alloy.

The ceramics sintered at 1200 °C were characterized as for density, crystalline phases, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties.
The performance of a DR is assessed by characterization of its microwave dielectric properties: dielectric constant, quality factor and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency.
Other factors such as grain size, polarization and conductivity of microstructures can also affect the properties, although with less intensity; we can consider that microwave dielectric properties are affected more by the crystalline structure and chemical compounds present in each one of the investigated ceramics.

Discussion on Masonry Structure Model Mechanical Property Test Gonglian Chen a and Linjun Si b 1School of Civil Engineering and Communication, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, Zhengzhou 450011, China achengonglian@gmail.com, bsilinjun1980@163.com Keywords: masonry; mechanical property; test.
Introduction In structure mechanical property test, because of the prototype structure test has many shortcomings, such as large investment, long period, strict laboratory equipment, measurement accuracy is affected by the environmental, and so on, the structure model test played an important role in the research of structure engineering.
Masonry Material The masonry structure is a composite material of bulk materials (brick, block) and the mortar, from the material sense, the mechanical properties of the masonry structure to simulate is too complex, the reason is that: masonry is a composite material, all part of the component must be simulated, such as brick and block, mortar and steel.
Because of the difference of the size between the model specimen and prototype specimen, its mechanical properties are also different to each other.
The former approach in determining has a great chance and human factors, and the latter approach is more direct and objective.
