In protective engineering, concrete is used for air raid shelters, command bunkers and hardened shelters, where concrete structures are probably subjected to blast loadings or penetrated and perforated by fragments and projectiles.
In many defense agencies, the complex interaction of a projectile with concrete structure has been a subject of interest to both civil engineers and weapon designers.
