Abstract: A embankment dam model was established in this paper, and the steady seepage field of the embankment dam in the normal water level conditions was solved based on FEM, then the corresponding seepage force was calculated and the seepage force for each earth stripe was obtained.
But currently, numerical method is seldom used in actual engineering.
Currently, rigid body limit equilibrium method which is commonly used in engineering include simplified Bishop method, Spencer method, Janbu method and so on.
