The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) is consulted to design a project that offers thermal comfort in addition to lowering energy usage.
A few years ago, choosing materials for thermal comfort and subsequently lower energy usage in thermal conditioning systems was of no importance to engineers and architects [8].
Each thermal zone's energy balance is computed by the program using formulas that are provided in the Engineering Reference manual of the software [15].

Introduction Generally, cement production as aggregate binders have gainfully enabled the construction of civil infrastructures such as buildings, dams, railways, and whatnot.
This is a property widely used to describe the engineering behaviour of materials such as rock, soil, wood etc. and it is expressed as a percentage of pore water to solid.

Conservation of Heritage Structures in Turkey: Practice and Difficulties TURER Ahmet1, a 1Middle East Technical University, Civil Engineering Dept., Ankara, Turkey a aturer@metu.edu.tr Abstract Conservation studies in developing countries might have additional problems to those that are being experienced by leading developed countries.
This paper discusses some common problems experienced in Turkey mostly from a structural engineer's point of view.
All variations and uncertainties in a historic structure is larger compared to modern civil engineering structures; therefore, evaluation, discritization, analytical modeling is difficult.
Conservation studies need to accommodate interdisciplinary teams including architects, art historians, structural and geotechnical engineers, geologists, etc.
All variations and uncertainties in a historic structure is larger compared to modern civil engineering structures; therefore, evaluation, discritization, understanding, and analytical modeling is more difficult.
