Mechanical Properties of Rebar HRB400 after Corrosion Ping Li a, Ying Wang Department of Civil Engineering, Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology, Luoyang 471023, China aeappol@163.com Key Words: Rebar HRB400, Corrosion rate, Corrosion behavior, Mechanical properties Abstract: The corrosion behavior of rebar HRB400 in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution was investigated, and the tensile mechanical properties after corrosion were tested.
Nevertheless, with the change of environment and the passage of time, the corrosion of rebar occurs at different extent because of the carbonization of concrete and the inrush of chloride, which leads to the concrete weakening and continuous engineering accidents.
