Abstract.
Use equivalent algorithm to analyze the stability of stepped column can achieve higher precision, and the maximum error does not exceed 3%, take as the practical algorithm would satisfy the engineering demand.
The comparison showed that the practical algorithm recommended in this paper fully satisfy the precision demand of engineering, and is simple and useful.
