Preliminary Approach to Mechanical Characteristics of Cement Mixed Superfine Iron Tailings Ning Bao-kuan, Meng Jin, Ren Yi-nan, Jiang Tong, Cui Xiao-lei School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Shenyang University of Technology, Shenyang 110870, China ningbk@126.com Keywords: cement-mixed superfine iron tailings; mortar; relation of load-deformation.strength; freeze-thaw cycle Abstract.
Introductions Tailings, as one byproduct of the mining engineering, are a major component of industrial solid waste, occupying over 1/3 according to statistics.
The freeze-thaw characteristics of cement-superfine tailings The performances of material resistance to repeated freezing and thawing is a vital guarantee of the durability of engineering structures in the north of China.
Therefore, cement mixed superfine tailings are basically able to meet the requirements of frost resistance that cement mortar can satisfy in engineering.
The cement-superfine tailings can be applied to engineering; Cement-superfine tailings, cement-mixed soil and cement mortar under the same conditions, are similar in the mechanical strength, load-deformation characteristics and frost resistance; therefore, in constructional engineering, when using cement-superfine tailings as construction materials, may refer to the research achievements of cement mortar under the same conditions.

Experimental Study of Shear Strength of Modified Grout Masonry Pengfei Xue1, a, Daling Mao2,b 1Department of Civil Engineering, Henan University of Technology, Zhengzhou 450052, China 2 The Architectural Engineering and Art Designing College, GuangDong Institute of Science and Technology, Zhuhai 519090, China axuepengfei@gmail.coml, bmaodaling@gmail.com Keywords: modified mortar; the new wall material; bond strength; orthogonal design; polymer Abstract.
Introduction Currently, the new wall materials were widely used in engineering, and it mainly included the small concrete blocks, the autoclaved lime-sand bricks, and the autoclaved fly ash bricks etc.
The significance level of block type was exaggerated, because the test conditions of concrete block and aerated concrete block had great differences to actual engineering.: the surface rough handling and water saturation treatment had to be done in actual project.
The normal mortars had to be amended in autual engineering.

Layered-shell element method of calculating the multi-ribbed composite slab’s elastic lateral stiffness Peng Changa, Yao Luob School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Beijing JiaoTong University, China apchang@bjtu.edu.cn, bluoyao_conan@yahoo.cn Keywords: layered-shell element method, lateral stiffness, multi-ribbed composite slab, SOLID46 Abstract.
The calculating value of elastic lateral rigidity of the wall deduced from the unilayer composite material model of bi-directional fiber is identical with the measured value, which means that this model has certain theoretic basis and practical value, also, it can meet the demand of engineering calculation.

Numerical Simulation of Subway-Induced Environment Vibration Peizhen Li1, a, Zhaohui Pan1,b, Xiuqiang Li1,c, Jianyong Yue2,d 1State Key Laboratory of Disaster Reduction in Civil Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai, 200092, China 2Shanghai Institute of Architectural Design & Research Co.
The tunnel structure utilized in the model was the most commonly used form in the subway construction of Shanghai and the soil was consistent with the typical engineering geological condition of Shanghai [1].
For the typical engineering geological condition of Shanghai, the soil is not homogeneous in the depth direction and the bedrock is about 200 m to 300 m below ground surface, so the depth of the finite element region in the model needs further determination.
Therefore, it is reasonable to set the depth of the finite element region in the model as 100 m if the model soil is consistent with the typical engineering geological condition of Shanghai.
(1) In the analysis of subway-induced vibration, coupling of the finite element and infinite element method is advisable and the depth of the finite element region can be taken as 100 m when the model soil is consistent with the typical engineering geological condition of Shanghai
