A Clustering Method Based on Attribute Reduction and SOM Zheng Yongqian, Yu Shengnan and Jiang Peiming School of Mechanical Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai, China e-mail: yongqian@tongji.edu.cn Key words: Attributes reduction; Difference Matrix; Clustering Analysis; SOM Neural Network; Customer Classifying.
Input data usually is redundant and redundant data would affect the clustering’s quality and thence redundant information should be eliminated.
Therefore we use attribute reduction rules to reduce the 18 properties, only take key attributes as SOM clustering model’s input.
Customer retention is one of the key factors to sustain business growth.
Top factors affecting clustering were identified through the modeling process.

Introduction The use of piezoelectric ceramics in all kinds of smart devices has received considerable attention because of their especially piezoelectric and dielectric properties and their electromechanical, and electro-optical coupling performances.
However, electromechanical combined action is a main factor of fracture in piezoelectric ceramics.
The results show that fracture toughness is anisotropic and the direction of the applied electric field can significantly affect fracture behavior.
When combined electric-mechanical loads were applied, polarized samples were subjected to an electric field and a mechanical load.

The most important factor which can cause water and soil loss is rainfall.
The configuration rate of paintings does not affect stain size but affects the tone of stain).
From the experience of the researcher, the probable reason for which the water-drop height in the experiment can affect the stain diameter is: when the height between the raindrop and the filter paper reached a certain level, there was enough kinetic energy.
In fact, the raindrop under the natural condition would be affected by the wind force and the error in the raindrop diameter calculated by using the stain diameter method would be greater.
After the relationship between the stain diameter and the simulative water-drop diameter is defined, the filter paper can be used for recording the raindrop information and furthermore, we can infer the energy of the unit rainfall of the one-time rainfall in a unit area and study the mechanical properties of the raindrop.

The optimisation of sheet metal processes by using numerical simulations has become a key factor to a continuously increasing requirement for time and cost efficiency, for quality improvement and materials saving, in many manufacturing areas such as automotive, aerospace, building, packaging and electronic industries.
The evolution law for the internal variables can be derived from a potential of dissipation which is decomposed into plastic, pψ , and damage, dψ , components as ( )( ) 1 1 1 s p d r Y D s r ψ ψ ψ + −  = + = Φ +   − +   (2) for a process accounting for isotropic hardening and isotropic damage, in which r and s are material and temperature dependent properties and Φ and Y are respectively, the yield function and the damage energy release rate, given by ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) 2 2 2 2 1 1 : 1 : 2 1 2 1 c c h Y tr tr E D E h D υ σ σ υ σ υ σ σ υ σ + + − − −     = + − − + − −         − − (3) where E and υ denote, respectively, the Young's modulus and the Poisson's ratio of the undamaged material.
A possible alternative to avoid the problem and have a fast integration algorithm that estimates damage evolution with crack closure effects is to decouple the above damage evolution from the plasticity equations, but with the damage variable affecting the plasticity hardening evolution law.
The same numerical model was used to perform another numerical simulation but, in this case, with the integration of the damage model subroutine, thus the computed damage variable affects the plasticity evolution law in the described numerical integration scheme.

Therefore, it is necessary to make relevant research on this factor.
As a near alpha titanium alloy, Ti-600 alloy was designed for components used in turbine engines at 600℃, its tensile properties at ambient temperature and at service temperature, thermal stabilities, oxidation properties, and fatigue properties have widely been investigated by several researchers [2,3].
However, the thermal stability and high cycle fatigue property for the alloy with 100% b transformation structure will be poor, which will also affect the actual use of the alloy.

Dimensional quality is an important factor influencing the final geometry for the compliant assemblies.
Problems with dimensional tolerance can affect the product functionality, the process performance and the aesthetical requirement.
There are mainly three factors influencing the dimensional tolerance, which are design concept, variation and process layout [1].
The assembly is described by an assembly modeling with multi-properties, which includes three sections: (1) the set of parts of the assembly, (2) the set of relationships among parts and (3) the set of joints among parts.

At the same times, the uneven surface can increase fluctuation of cutting force, which is an important factor to the vibration in the cutting process.
Two factors lead a lot of disadvantages such as bad cutting property and surface quality
The chip breaking for three kind of surface layer Chip controlling is a key technique for the mechanical manufacture system.
In this section, the cutting property for the surface layer and compact layer were studied.
The appropriate methods need to be adopted to reduce the affect.
