A New Method of Checking Anti-floating Stability of Buried Horizontal Tank Zubin zhang1,a,Haisheng Bi1,b,Shichang Song2,c 1College of Pipeline and Civil Engineering, China University of Petroleum, Qingdao, Shandong, 266555, China 2Survey, Design&Research Institute of ZPEB, Puyang, Henan, 457001, China azhangzubin_1@163.com, bbhs888796@163.com, csongshichang2008@126.com Keywords: Anti-floating checking; Buoyant density; Thickness of overburden; Added anchor Abstract.
A new method of checking anti-floating has been brought up to improve anti-floating reliability based on the analysis of existing methods in this paper, meanwhile, several anti-floating measures can be took combined with engineering practice to guarantee the tank body reliable anti-floating performance.
According to the engineering practice, the tank is most likely to be float when the whole overburden layer soaks in water and the tank is nearly no-load.

Prediction on Modal Properties of Building Plates Xianfeng Huang1,2,a , Zhixiang Zhuang1,2,b, Shangyou Wei1,2,c and Junxin Lan1,2,d 1 Guangxi Key Laboratory of Disaster Prevention and Engineering Safety, Guangxi University Nanning, 530004, China 2 College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Guangxi University, Nanning, 530004, China aseulee@163.com, b164625568@qq.com, c249335371@qq.com, d237404735@qq.com Keywords: Building Materials, Building member, Modal density, Elastic modulus, Critical frequency.
Although there exist only a few researches on modal density in most aspects of engineering including building acoustics, studies focused on the modal density and modal overlap of a plate are seldom to be found.
If statistical averaging is to be meaningful, then there should have minimum modes in a structure, or a building member (a subsystem in SEA).For instance, if a structure has a minimum of 2 modes per band, it is generally to be sufficient though on lightly damped engineering structures more (6 0r 10 per band) may be necessary.
