Keywords: pre-existing flaw; coalescence; wrapping crack; fracture mechanism
Abstracts: Under the action of compressive load, the growth and coalescence containing flaws in
brittle materials (rock and rocklike materials e.g.) will result in the local buckling and global
fracture of rockmass.
Introduction Many primary flaws and faults exist in the engineering rockmass, their growth and interaction will greatly change the redistribution of internal stress field of rock under compression.

Keywords: Degree of Freedom, Parallel mechanism, Parallel tilter, Decoupling, Coordinate Transformations
Abstract: According to the configuration theory of the parallel manipulator with a few degree of freedom (DOF), the paper adopted 2PSU-U mechanism to design a new parallel tilter with 2 DOF, which has such advantages as strong bearing capacity, high precision and kinematic decoupling.

Analytical studies are complex but often have a somewhat limited application capacity, and in particular they may become computationally expensive and unsuitable for studying Lamb waves in actual engineering structures featuring various boundaries or discontinuities such as structural damage.
