Study on experiment of terminal fixture connection of steel wire rope Xiguang Cui1,a, Jie Geng1,b and Jianwei Ding1,c 1School of Civil Engineering, Shenyang Jianzhu University, Shenyang Liaoning, 110168, China a1364632076@qq.com, bgengjie8981@sina.com, cpdf18k@163.com Keywords: Steel wire rope, Fixture, Connection, Performance Abstract.
The connection of the steel wire rope terminal with four aluminum-alloy swaged ferrules, tensile capacity of about 14.2 KN, comparing to the connection of three aluminum-alloy swaged ferrules, whose capacity is enhanced slightly by 6%.There is a certain gap between 14.2KN and 16.2KN, and it can satisfy the design requirements of the strengthening technology of steel wire mesh and polymer mortar, because the influence of polymer mortar's bondability on steel wire rope and factors such as constraints on the joints, four aluminium-alloy swaged ferrules connection will be increase security, so in strengthening terminal bearing components four aluminium-alloy swaged ferrules can be used as the connecting way, but the great quantities used in the engineering, the connection is not economical and practical.
