Pugh method analysis shown that the second design give more advantages in handling, easy to operate, least cost in manufacture, and reduction of time in doing the total knee replacement than the first design.
The comparison was carried out via Pugh scoring method by referring to a design datum, which is benchmarked industrial holder.

Meanwhile in PSC (1:2) set of data (33% plastic and 67% laterite), the average density recorded the highest values of 1739 kg/m³, failure load recorded ranged from 192.97 kN to 224.22 kN, which is equivalent to compressive strengths value of between 8.6 N/mm2 and 10.0 N/mm2.
The data clearly shows a trend where increase laterite content across the various groups led to higher density values which resulted in higher compressive strengths numbers.
