In order to probe the damage features and give the countermeasures for reconstruction, as the member of investigation team of Shaanxi province, the authors and other engineers immediately went to disastrous region on April 15 for undertaking a post-earthquake field survey mission.
The survey scope was concentrated on civil buildings, industry buildings and public buildings in Jiegu town, Longbao town and Haxiu town which were close to epicenter area.
