Material properties test of wooden architecture and its mechanical properties Lin Xu 1, a, TieYing Li 2, b 1 Architecture and Civil Engineering College, Taiyuan University of Technology,Taiyuan,Shanxi,030024,China 2Architecture and Civil Engineering College, Taiyuan University of Technology,Taiyuan,Shanxi,030024,China a563009603@163.com, blty680412@163.com Keywords: experiment, wood, wood-frame building, properties, bending strength Abstract.
Wood mainly bears pressure, tension ,bending moment ,shearing force and so on in Civil Engineering ,so,according to the kinds of the loads added, the kinds of wood strength have compressive strength, tensile strength ,flexural strength ,shear strength and so on .The ratio relationship of different strengths(assume pressure strength parallel to grain as 1)of wood is shown in table3-1:  Table 3-1 The intensity ratio of wood Parallel to grain compression Transverse compression Tension testing along the grain Transverse tensile Bending strength Shear resistance along the grain Horizontal cut 1 1/10~1/3 2~3 1/20~1/3 3/2~2 1/7~1/3 1/2~1                          The influence factors of wood strength The research of wood strength is the foundation when we analyse structure members and their overall performance.Besides, the factors affecting strength such as moisture, surrounding temperature, loading time, shortages of wood, cannot be ignored.
Conclusion The test of bending strength of timber can be obtained the following conclusions: 1 In the same experimental conditions, the radial and tangential mechanical properties of the same kind of wood have obvious direction, and the mechanical properties of the specimen vary widely within each radial and choral group; 2 According to the broken image of specimens in each group: in the same kind of conditions, each specimen damage shapes are different, which fully proved it that existence of the defect serious impact on the mechanical properties of wood, thereby affect the engineering applications; 3 The experimental data shows that: the radial bending strength value of the final test of timber is 22.2% higher than that at tangential direct ,when the timber is designed and constructed, flexural members should try to make radial load; 4 the entire testing process, the point of various components have no obvious local deformation, so the wood have the property of hardness, the capacity

The Future of Architecture in Modular Construction Mlčochová Martina1,a *, Řihák Pavel1, b 1Faculty of Civil Engineering, VSB-TU Ostrava, Ludvíka Podéště 1875/17, 708 00 Ostrava, Czech republic amlcochova00@gmail.com, bpavel.rihak@mensa.cz Keywords: Module, Modular architecture, Modular building, Plattenbau, Czech republic, EXPO Abstract.
It was designed by the architect Hynek Adamec and engineer Bohumil Kula.
More and more houses were gradually build in the former Czechoslovakia and in abroad. [3] Modular building was spread rapidly to other typological spheres of civil engineering such as the construction of industrial complexes.
Characteristics of Modular Building From the viewpoint of architecture of civil engineering there is not much to dispute.
Conclusion Elements of modular building are used as a basis of the process of building almost in every sphere in the civil engineering.

Experimental Study on Thermal Effect of Shear Strength of Cohesive Soil Dong Zhou, Chen-hui Liu, Bao Guo, Guan-yong Yue School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Guangxi University, Nanning, China Email: zhd516@163.com Keywords: shear strength; thermal effect; cohesive soil; time Abstract.
The paper mainly studies the influence rules of temperature (10℃ ~60℃) and curing time on shear strength indexes of cohesive soil, such as cohesion and internal friction angle, which are very significant in civil engineering works as the temperature of the earth’s surface increases.
Introduction The influence of temperature on the mechanical characteristics of cohesive soil is a significant topic in the field of geotechnical engineering.

The civil part of a construction project, brought into the ranks of the expert scoring function basically has the following: structure security, space layout rationality, use material durability.
Such as Table2.2: Tab. 2.2 Expert scoring method Evaluation items Civil engineering evaluation scores Standard scores Each expert scoring Arithmetic mean A B C Structure security 10 10 10 10 10 Space layout is reasonable 10 9 9 8 8.67 Use material durability 10 9 8 9 8.67 At last, the solution of subjective function reliability is to take logarithm, which is the sum of the weight coefficient that obtained from 0 ~ 4 scoring method and the arithmetic mean from expert scoring.

Sensors and networks, however, can be extended to more novel roles for civil and building engineering applications, such as detecting and recording the histories of environmental conditions and activities of the residents.
Civil and buildings structures are designed to be safe for a certain level of damage by introducing highly redundant structural systems.
From this analogy, we realize that we lack cases for SHM especially for civil and building structures.
At present, most studies on the SHM algorithms are for engineers who know very well about structural systems.
However, structures we have to take care are so many so that such engineers are not always available.

Recent researches on the mechanical properties of SMA material proved that it can be utilized in civil engineering structures for improving the seismic performance of structures [4, 5].
Since most civil engineering applications of shape memory alloys are related to the use of bars and wires, one-dimensional phenomenological models are often considered suitable.
