The Research and Detection Practice of Geological Radar Technology Song Jin 1, a 1 School of Geosciences and info-Physics, Central South University ,ChangSha, China,410083; Chongqing Research Institute of China Coal Technology &Engineering Group Corporation, ChongQing, China, 400039 asongjin33@163.com Keywords: GPR, electromagnetic pulse, permittivity, reflectance, Karst, fault.
With the development of technology and social needs, Radar is gradually applied for civil use.
GPR is widely used in engineering geological survey, engineering quality inspection, mineral exploration, hydrology and ecological environment investigation, geological hazard detection, archaeological exploration, buried objects detection and many other fields, which has been an important technical means in the shallow geophysical exploration.
Using GPR can do a wide range of continuous scanning for underground target, and provide visual and continuous profile and planar graph. This can compensate the shortage of general Geological survey and drilling, benefit to engineering geology and disaster management.
