The Relationship between Characteristics and Shear Strength of Structural Planes and Its Effect on the Stability of Landslide Hong Wei1, a,Jun Yi1,b 1,2College of civil engineering and architecture, Hainan University, Haikou, 570228, China a wennhong @163.com, b junjunhm@yahoo.cn Keywords: granite; structural plane; shear strength Abstract :In this paper, the shear strength of different structural planes are tested with the hand portable shear tester in site.
The above structural planes were further split under the influence of unloading in the excavation and construction blasting, slope rock mass engineering properties become worse.
Form March to May In 1999, when the slope geological engineering investigation, found that high slope rupture deformation phenomenon is further aggravated, many back edges of the slope are formed tensile crack which parallel with the slope strike.
Encourage people to re-examine engineering geological research work in the fault zone, strong weathered or strong unloading granite area, and think about highway safety and what measures should be taken under such conditions.
