Introduction Currently, asphalt concretes have been the mostly used highway pavements structure and highway engineering has proposed keen demand for some kinds of asphalt and aggregate [1].
While the fundamental investigation and engineering practice of hydrated lime utilization has been relatively lesser.
Relying on a certain highway construction, the paper has investigated the application of hydrated lime in asphalt mixture from the points of indoor tests, engineering practice and the corresponding mechanism.
