In particular, TaC and NbC are important components of cemented carbides and cermets used for metalcutting applications (primarily inserts) for a number of reasons, including increased high-temperature deformation resistance; increased chemical stability and reduced reactivity with Fe-group metals; and grain growth control.

This latter effect is the transition from a colloidal liquid state after melting (mainly as a suspension of graphite particles) to a quasi - ideal solution, which has no remnant graphite, and a low number of de-activated micro-inclusions, reflective of their ability to act as heterogeneous nuclei for graphite.
Inoculants, with a 0.2-0.7 mm grain size, were added during tapping into the pouring ladle.

Steirenova [6] tested geopolymers mortars with the addition of sand in the 0-93 %wt range; she found that at low contents of sand, the geopolymer mechanical behaviour worsened, because many cracks appeared in the matrix, starting from large pores of 1-8 µm; when the content of sand increased, the grains were able to block the cracks and in those conditions higher mechanical properties were detected; the best conditions were found for a sand content ranging 74-78%wt, mainly because of the lack of large voids due to packing.
Mechanical testing and characterization An opportune number of cylindrical specimens of 20 mm diameter were obtained by pouring the mould in airtight plastic containers and then they were cured over 28 days at room temperature; the first specimens showed some problems concerning homogeneity and surface porosity (Fig. 2a).

Both samples (x = 0.2 and 0.3) showed almost a single peak at Tc, indicating a superconducting transition within the grains.

Hot stamping has experienced considerable evolution since its inception, but it was after year 2000 that use of the technology quickly exploded, growing from 8 million components in 1997 to 107 million in 2007 [5] and incorporating a number of innovations in the two first decades of the 2000s.

But the relevant technologies are characterized by the dangers number presence [15,16].
Influence of pulse parameters on current output and components total content in alloy at current density 4 A/dm2: a) pulse duration, tР = const = 2 ms; b) pause duration, tі = const = 2 ms Resulting from the morphology studying (Fig. 2.) of coatings using atomic force microscopy, the grains and associates approximate size as well as the obtained development alloy coating surface degree.

The advantage of laser-aided rapid solidification will be taken to give rise to the finer grains and less macro segregation in the microstructure of the as-deposited parts, so the mechanical properties of the parts might be even higher than those of which are made by conventional methods.
Components of the LMDS System The LMDS has a number of advantages over previous RP techniques including more robust deposition, more accurate placement of the deposited material and the ability to produce functional gradient materials by simply mixing powders during deposition.

A number of kinetic models have been described in an attempt to find a suitable mechanism explanation for solid/liquid adsorption systems, in which the pseudo- first order kinetics ln (Qe-Qt) = lnQe-K1t, pseudo- second order kinetic equation [13]: t/Qt= 1/ (K2Qe2) +t/Qe are the two most widely applied.

But the weathering rate within parts of black rocks is significantly higher than the surrounding non-black rock, such as fine-grained quartz sandstone and silty mudstone, which renders the black rocks on the slope a concave-like shape, as shown in Figure 1.

The grain size of electrolyte was estimated by the line interception method and was 500 nm in the average.
Thus, Q is directly proportional to the cell current and number of cells connected in series.
