This process steps are as follows:
(i) Preparing the pre-alloyed powders and three-dimensional (3D) computer-aided design data
(ii) One layer of metal powder is selectively melted and solidified by laser beam
(iii) The starting plate is lowered by one layer thickness
(iv) The rake feeds a new metal powder layer
(v) Above process is repeated to produce a 3D structure.
It is very important to control the crystallographic texture which leads reduction of Young’s modulus [5].

The impedance data were analyzed by the ZsimpWin 3.10 EChem Software (Michigan, USA).
By analyzing these curves with ZSimpWin program using the Rs(Qf(Rf(CdlRt))) model (discussed elsewhere) [6], an enhancement in corrosion resistance properties after lanthanide coatings can be noted from an increase in impedance |Z|, partly due to the formation of Al2O3 layer on the matrix and partly due to the reduction in activity in the zones surrounding the cathodic intermetallics as a result of precipitation of lanthanide oxides/ Fig. 1.

Data on the protective properties of lininngs can also be acquired through electrochemical testing, mainly through impedance spectroscopy measurements.
In the range of low frequencies the spectrum for sample no. 7 (fig. 3d) after drying is situated slightly above the spectrum for the “as supplied” sample, which may be caused by the reduction in its thickness as a result of drying.

It is an effective pathway to oxidize As(III) to As(V), resulting in the reduction of arsenic toxicity.
It was further characterized to be primarily composed of pyrolusite (β-MnO2) by X-ray diffraction analysis (data not shown).

This
data was expected since literature reports that Ca
2+ from a calcium phosphate substrate can strongly
bind with COO
in
proteins, but the affinity of the negative charge site of phosphorous for NH
3+ in
proteins is not high [10].
The reduction in pH achieved on day 14, having an effect on the ionisation of functional groups of the proteins which led to a change of net charge of some of them, may have favoured the binding of proteins to the negative phosphorus sites exposed on the surface of the material, and therefore hamper their release at least transiently. 400 Title of Publication (to be inserted by the publisher) 0 500 1000 1500 2000 2500 3000 3500 0 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 Immersion Time (Days) [PO4 3-], ppm 0 250 500 750 1000 1250 1500 0 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 Immersion Time (Days) [K+], ppm 0 50 100 150 200 250 300 350 400 0 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 Immersion Time (Days) [Ca2+], ppm Fig.3.

All the XRD lines obtained from samples fired at 900°C matched with the lines given in
JCPDS data files (#25-1200), which indicated that the powder was well crystallized.
The amount of exterior quenching centers (viz. surface state) increased while the amount of interior quenching centers (mainly consisted of impurity and defect) decreased along with the reduction of particle size.

The system was performing in
reflection mode and data processing and displaying was made by Leica software for an independent
Graphic Station.
Although a weak trend towards a gradual reduction of surface roughness was observed with the immersion time in SBF, however, a fluctuation of RMS values was apparent, due to the continuing process of apatite precipitation (Fig.3).

A three-dimensional geometrical model of the intact T11-L1, including cortical bone, cancellous bone, endplate, posterior elements and disc, was created from cryosectional images and CT data of Chinese Visible Human.
The displacements in fractured T12 were increased in monosegment fixation model under all loading conditions, which correlating with the clinical failure to maintain the initial reduction as described before[4].
