Introduction The materials for an urban sculpture are selected by the sculptor according to cost, demand of expression, environment context and scale in his times.
During the latter half of 20th century and the 1st decade of 21st century, stainless steel has been become the preferred materials for more and more sculptors.
Stainless steel has been widely used in building construction and industry production since 1920s and turned into sculpture materials that traditionally dominated by marble and bronze.
Combining with forging technique, stainless steel can achieve the same or a larger size than bronzes, marbles and other traditional materials at a much lower price and a lower technical difficulty.
In addition, owing to high output of crude steel and relatively developed metallurgy industry in China, stainless steel forging are more popular naturally and does not depend on specific raw materials field like stone materials.

Introduction Precast concrete structures are economical, can be constructed relatively quickly, reduce construction costs and make use of in-plant quality control processes to ensure consistency in the concrete material properties, curing procedures, and dimensions of the final product, and precast concrete structures also allow for volume changes from creep, shrinkage and temperature differences because components are cured before they are delivered to the site[1].

Mechanical properties and thermal shock behavior for the two materials were studied.
Two kinds of materials with a same size(φ80mm×65mm) were fabricated.
Results and discussion Fracture surface of the two materials are shown in Fig.1.

Conclusions (1) The flame retardant grade of materials hadn’t been declined by alloying, and they are all the flame retardant materials.
(2) The insulation performance of materials can be improved by alloying, the volume resistivity of the plastic alloy with mass ratios of 60/30/10 is 3.72×1017Ω·cm.
