The wrinkle recovery property, whiteness and mechanical properties of the tussah silk fabric were measured and analysized.
The finishing agents BTCA in the presence of catalyst of sodium monophosphate(SHP) as well as the treatment conditions significantly affected the anti-wrinkle effects of treated tussah silk fabrics.
The effects of the process factors on the results of wrinkle resistant property, retention rate of breaking strength and whiteness were analysized, and the optimized technique formula and condition was determined at last.
Result and discussion Effects of CA finishing on the properties of tussah silk fabric.
The effect of process factors on the properties of BTCA finishing tussah silk fabric is shown in Table 2.

Assessment of Engineering Properties of Geosynthetics with Seaming Methods Han-Yong Jeon Department of Applied Organic Materials Engineering, Inha University, Incheon, Korea(Rep.)
Introduction Geosynthetics have their seaming methods such as mechanical or chemical seaming techniques due to their own structures, physical, chemical and thermal properties.
Seam properties of geotextiles and geocomposites were examined by ASTM D 4884(; test method for seam strength of sewn geotextiles) and those of geogrids were investigated through ASTM D 4884.
Especially for geogrids, creep deformation tests were done to determine the reduction factor of geogrids to affect the long-term performance by ASTM D 5262 and GRI GG 3(b).
In here, reduction factors of the geospacer seam are smaller than those of the band seam and this means geospacer seam is more effective than the band seam.

This management issue will introduce some uncontrollable factors and difficult to tracing.
A proposed quality factor defined as the ratio of the tensile strength of weld to the tensile strength of the base metal was applied for the Taguchi analysis in order to obtain the optimized combination of the control factors for laser welding.
That means the mechanical properties of the weld is already higher than that of base metal.
Since the SNR is dramatically affected by the property variation of the base metals, a strictly income material control was advised to improve the uniformity of weldment.
(3) To deal with the larger property variation of base metal, the proposed quality factor R is better than the tensile strength of the weldment in Taguchi analysis.

Manganese steel (Hadfield) is one of the important alloys in industry due to its special properties.
Heat treatment is the main process through which the desired mechanical properties and microstructures are obtained in Hadfield steel.
The factors that affect on heat treatment are austenitizing temperature, austenitizing time and quenching rate.
Table 2 shows these factors and their level.

The mechanical properties of one such steel are presented in Ref. [1].
The T0 standard covers specific types of ferritic steels with yield strengths between 275 and 875 MPa, so it is therefore important to find out what are the microstructural factors affecting the correlation for higher strength steels.
Mechanical properties (Each value is a mean of four measurements).
Toughness and correlation properties.
However, the metallurgical factors affecting the relationship between T0 and T28J are yet to be identified.

Study of Constructive Materials and Structure inside Long Highway Tunnel Based on Environment Factors Xiaoli Shi 1, a, Mengrou Yang 1, b 1 School of Highway, Chang`an University, Xi’an 710064, Shaanxi, China aglxl@gl.chd.edu.cn,b250570967@qq.com Keywords: Long Highway Tunnel; environment factor; reflecting material; noise reduction material; structural optimization Abstract.
Its constructive materials and structure are closely related to environment factors [1] of highway tunnel which include noise, lighting, temperature, humidity, air and landscape, etc.
These factors have a greater influence on the passengers and the maintenance staff inside long highway tunnel.
The special environment of highway tunnel request that the sound-absorbing materials should have the following properties: (1) Eximious acoustic property The same sound-absorbing material has different sound absorption coefficient in low, medium and high frequency, which requires the selected sound-absorbing materials property correspond to the acoustic properties in tunnel.
Conclusions (1)For the selection of constructive materials and structure inside long highway tunnel, the environment factors including sound, temperature, humidity and illumination should be taken into consideration synthetically

Taguchi DEAR method is used to determine the single optimal levels of input factors that enhances the performances of all the sand mould properties.
Percent of clay and cow-dung found to be the most dominating factor towards all the sand mould properties.
The cow dung is having both binding as well as additive properties.
The amount of water and clay are the two important factors require proper control to attain best sand mould properties [16-17].

In machining operations, the surface roughness generated is influenced by an enormous set of factors.
But it is not an easy task due to the dependent nature of the surface roughness formation mechanism and the numerous uncontrollable factors influencing it.
The set of factors that influence the surface roughness can be observed in a fishbone diagram (Fig. 1) that considers: machining parameters such as process kinematics, cooling fluid, stepover, depth of cut, tool angle, feed rate and cutting speed; the cutting tool properties such as the tool material, runout errors, tool shape and nose radius; the workpiece properties such as the length, diameter and hardness; and the cutting phenomena such as the cutting force variation, friction in the cutting zone, chip formation, vibrations and accelerations.
Surface properties play a decisive role on the properties and characteristics of the finished piece.
It is determined by material properties and process that formed the surface. 2.
