Abstract: It is introduced that three main factors cause geometric nonlinear effects of long span cable-stayed bridge: large displacement effect, cable sag effect, and the combination of bending moment and axial force effect.
This treatment for influence on the overall structure is not very significant, but it is an important source of the main beam alignment errors in the engineering construction control, which should be pay attention to in large-span cable-stayed bridge construction.
