Keywords:shaft, shaft lining structure, shaft lining thickness design, porous rock aquifer, water tight concrete, water pressure.
Sometimes the in-situ engineers realize shaft thickness is too conservative to use due to code, but no theory can be referred to improve design, thus the Reduction Coefficient Method[4] are used as a theory to reduce the lining thickness, which in practical, is to take measurement of releasing enclosure water pressure or grouting, that is the prevailingprinciple saying “priority to grouting block, secondly to discharge on limit”.

Conclusions
Energy consumption of hot water accounts for 10-40% of the total energy consumption of commercial buildings, and 20-30% of that of civil buildings, so it is increasing important to improve energy efficiency of hot water supply.
