Materials and Methods The Liaohe river is located between N40°31′ to 45°17′ and E116°54′ to 125°32′, on the southwestern part of northeast area of China.
Soil bioengineering is the use of live and dead plant materials, in combination with natural and synthetic support materials to protect riverbank slope stabilization, control soil erosion, and establish vegetation communities.
Materials for this kind of technique are wooden stakes, steel rods, iron wire (5 mm diameter), non-woven fabrics, and live cutting of 10-20 cm length.
