However, the most successful commercial RP processes are based on polymer, plastic, wax, paper, low temperature powder material and so on.
In addition, if the material is difficult to machine or rare metal, the additive fabrication of a near-net shape part offers an economic way to machine it because of less tool wear or conserve precious resource.

Materials and processing Direct Metal (bronze-nickel) powder was used to manufacture test pieces that are employed to carry out functional testing in this study.

Experimental Starting materials.
The main starting materials were tabular corundum of various particle sizes, reactive α-Al2O3 micropowder, and fused alumina zirconia of <0.044mm.
Other starting materials were flaky graphite (-196 mesh), aluminium micropowdersilicon powder.
Moreover, ZrO2 could transform in crystal type and improve the toughness of materials.

A micro EDM deposition process, using tool electrode materials deposited on workpiece surface to fabricate micro structures has been developed.
Micro EDM deposition process needs the removed materials from tool electrode not solidify so quickly until deposited on the workpiece.
