Introduction Fluid flow and heat transfer in porous media are widely used in chemical engineering and other various industrial applications [1].
In numerous engineering applications [20], including liquid composite molding, food processing, enhanced oil recovery, and chemical processes such as in distillation towers and fixed-bed reactors, fluids often drift away from the behavior of Newtonian fluid.

A Comparison of Three Evolutionary Algorithms for the Optimization of Building Design Alessandro Prada1,a*, Andrea Gasparella2,b and Paolo Baggio1,c 1 Dept. of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering, University of Trento, Trento, Italy 2 Faculty of Science and Technology, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Bolzano, Italy aalessandro.prada@unitn.it, bandrea.gasparella@unibz.it, cpaolo.baggio@unitn.it Keywords: Multi-Objective Optimization, Genetic Algorithm, Building Refurbishment, Cost Optimal, Building Energy Simulation.
Therefore, the engineers and architects face a multi-objective optimization problem with two or more conflicting goals.
Architects and engineers become increasingly aware of the potential benefits of an optimization method coupled with dynamic building simulation (BES).
Moreover, it can broaden the diffusion of the cost-optimal approach in real world applications overcoming the issues that limit the spread among architects and engineers.

Recently, with a help of computational materials engineering, it is possible to design materials and process to produce high performance materials which have a new property.
In Korea, three domestic composite materials are evaluated under this methodology and the databases are to be approved by Korea Civil Aviation Certification Agency [5].
