Abstract.
Introduction The development of nickel-based superalloys in the past few decades has been driven by ever increasing requirements of materials for gas turbine in modern civil jet engines.
The Materials Genome Initiative (MGI) and Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) are recently introduced as the new approach.
They were transformed in either engineering stress-strain curves or engineering resolved shear stress-strain curves from the initial length and upper diameter of the pillar and the initial length and upper diameter of the pillar and the initial Schmid factor calculated from the crystallographic orientation of the pillar.

Key words: wind effect, reinforced concrete structure, tall building, typhoon, full-scale
measurement, dynamic response
Abstract: This paper presents the field measurement results of wind effects on the world's tallest
reinforced concrete building (CITIC Plaza, 391 m high) located in Guangzhou during the passage of
typhoon Pabuk on August 10, 2007.
Although the measured values are slightly larger than the predicted one, the empirical formula recommended by AIJ is regarded to be applicable to engineering practice.
