Introduction Knowledge of concrete structure is required for a better understanding of concrete, whether in concrete science or establishing codes of practice in concrete engineering.
The multi-scale heterogeneity of concrete can be roughly considered as three elementary levels: (1) Concrete is firstly considered in level 1 (10-2 – 100 m), which is the scale of concrete engineering applications.
