Abstract.
Impact toughness of epoxy composite materials reinforced with Al2O3 microparticles of various concentrations were investigated.
Materials and research technique Impact toughness was determined with the use of specimens made of ECM.
For such materials the values of breaking stress were within the same range from 75 to 80 MPa (Fig. 1b).

Abstract—For the pores edge detecting of the Activated Carbon Fibers (ACF) material images, traditional approaches are difficult to obtain the complete edge information.
The quantitative measurement of size and distribution of the pores are essential for the material characteristics.
In this paper, Snake algorithm is combined with ACF material images.
