Abstract.Nylon 66 is an engineering thermoplastic which has been found to be a suitable alternative material for metal parts in low and medium load bearing applications.
Though this byproduct is used abundantly in civil oriented applications, its usage in mechanical oriented applications is still to be researched.
Since Nylon is engineering polymer, any investigation on its tribological properties would be significant.
