In 1971, the Society of Air Conditioning & Sanitary Engineers of Japan formed a" Standards Meteorological Year Data Committee"; in 1976, National Meteorological Center brought up the TRY (Test Reference Year) data; during 1970~1983, ASHRAE developed WYEC(Weather Year for Energy Calculation) data, and updated in the 1990s, completed WYEC2 by the NREL; in 1981, the NCDC (National Climatic Data Center)and Sandia National Laboratories presented TMY(Typical Meteorological Year) data; in the 1990s, TMY2 was developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's Analytic Studies Division resource assessment project[1].
