It is also applied in civil construction area, such as strengthening and upgrading of structurally inadequate or damaged structures.
With the increasing use of composite materials in various engineering structures, it is of growing importance to develop reliable and effective nondestructive evaluation methods to assess and monitor the mechanical serviceability and safety of in service composite structures.

This is particularly true for large civil engineering structures such as tall buildings, long bridges and offshore platforms, etc.
Therefore, identification of seismic loading is more meaningful to the dynamic analysis of civil structures.

The analytical accuracy of complex shear wall system have always been of concern to the civil and structural Engineering system.
It is well known to civil and structural engineering system that the key purpose of all kinds of structural systems used in building structures or any infrastructure is to support gravity loads, the most common loads resulting from the effect of gravity are dead load, imposed live load and climatic snow load.

Attention of researchers has turned to materials such as vegetable fibers including bamboo, soil, mining, industrial and agricultural wastes for engineering applications.
Although with the accumulation of technical data concerning the developed materials and structural elements obtained from the research programs, they are not systematically used in large scale in civil construction.
BAMBOO AND COMPOSITES REINFORCED WITH VEGETABLE FIBERS In civil engineering the development and application of materials, with low cost and reduced energy consumption has turned into an actual basic requirement.
The energy necessary to produce 1m3 per unit of stress projected in practice for materials commonly used in civil construction has been compared with that of bamboo.
