Soil is the most common discontinuous granular material in the geotechnical engineering and its physical and mechanical properties have obvious grain size effect.
The traditional analysis for mechanical behavior of soil is based on the continuum mechanics, generally, the physical quantity of spatial field is adopted to characterize the heterogeneity of particle materials, however, its macro constitutive model doesn’t include any grain size, and so the size effect cannot be predicted.

Introduction The area of poplar plantation has achieved 8 million hm2 in our country, ranking first in planting area and cumulation in the world, leading to poplar wood becoming one of the most important raw materials of wood-based panel in China[1,2].
Materials and methods Experiment materials 1) Poplar(populus spp.)veneer was bought from factories with thickness 1.8mm, breadth 350 mm,length 350 mm and moisture content 8%~12%. 2) Pulp fibre was got from paper mill and crushed, then 80-aperture tiny fibre was chosen from that.

Accounting Method of the Environmental Compensation Value in Mineral Resources Developing Li Keqing1, a, Zhang Qaing2,b and Wu Feng3,c 1 Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education of China for High-Efficient Mining and Safety of Metal Mines, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China 2 University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China 3 Beijing Research center for Science of Science, Beijing 100089, China alkqing2003@163.com, bbkdzhangqiang@163.com, cfengwu@126.com Keywords: Green GDP; mineral resources exploitation; environmental compensation value Abstract.
However, while the exploitation and utilization of mineral resources produces so-called “positive effect” such as meeting the need of mineral raw materials in industrial and agricultural production and people's life, it is causing increasingly ecological environment problem, including pollution of air, soil and water, and destruction of landform and natural landscape.

Summary of similar material simulation Characteristics and selection of model Similar material simulation use the Chongqing University laboratories mining plane stress similar model test bench.
Parameter Determination for similar simulation Selection of similarity ratio should meet test precision and simulation range for research. And the workload of model making and similar materials selecting should be reduced as possible.

Since early 1990s, the dual boundary element method (DBEM) has been applied to many fracture mechanics problems e.g. elastostatics, thermoelastic, elastoplastic, stiffened panels, concrete cracking, composite materials and dynamics, as reviewed by Aliabadi [1,2].
