Laser assisted milling (LAML) is a potential method for machining difficult-to-machine materials such as superalloys and ceramics, which uses a high power laser to focally heat a workpiece prior to material removal with a traditional cutting tool.
LAML is also a potential machining method with the ability of machining planes and grooves of difficult-to-machine materials.
Melkote [12] developed a novel laser assisted micro-milling mach-ine to enable the creation of freeform three-dimensional micro-scale features in hard materials.
The main cutting force is greater than axial force and it is the common characteristics of cutting plastic materials.

Abstract: The joint interface plays a significant role in machine tools and other machineries.
Porous metallurgy materials is a new kind of materials developed within the last ten years, it has the properties of structural materials and functional materials.
Small proportion, good rigid and strength, vibration and sound absorption make it have good dynamic performance comparing with other conversional materials.

To address this, research is being done on characterizing these materials.
Development of good porosity occurred in all materials due to chemical treatment given to materials, which was evident from SEM images and results of BET analysis.
Conclusion All the agricultural waste materials exhibited a good potential to yield carbon, thus they can be used as raw materials to prepare activated charcoal.
